Happy Moon Festival!!!

One of the many things about working with New York Life is the amount of cultural diversity that we are exposed to, and New York Life's commitment to celebrating it.

Today, when I signed on and started my morning routine, I was greeted by an article about the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, a 3,000 year old harvest celebration recognized across many Asian countries, this year on September 17th. That article served as a window into a beautiful cultural event that I don't know that I'd ever had the chance to peer through but for someone at my company taking the time to educate, share, and promote it in a place we visit first thing every day.

Take the time to get out of your bubble and learn something new about those around you, and find a company that makes it a priority!

Do you celebrate the Moon Festival? If so, what community events should we look out for to attend?

Last week, we attended the Southeastern Chamber of Commerce's Emerging Leaders Gala! The Gala is the crown jewel event for the Chamber every year and, as always, it did not disappoint! It was great to see all of the Lowcountry's up-and-coming businesses out building up the community and having fun! Special thanks to our Congresswoman Nancy Mace for delivering the keynote speech and a special congratulations to Amanda Guzy for graduating the Chamber's Lowcountry Leadership cohort!
