The retail real estate story continues to be one of strong demand and limited new supply.
According to JLL's latest market report, U.S. retail absorption reached 10.2 million square feet in the second quarter, while construction remains historically constrained across much of the country.
For owners of well-located neighborhood shopping centers, that supply-demand dynamic matters. Quality retail space remains hard to replicate, one of the fundamentals that continues to support our long-term outlook for the sector.
