This is Ramone Jamarr Alston. He is responsible for the shooting death of 1 year old Maleah Williams on Christmas day of 2015 in Chapel Hill for which he is serving a life sentence. He has escaped custody in North Carolina and the NC DOC is now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. He is 5’11 and approximately 230 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He escaped into the woods near UNC Hospital in Hillsborough. He has ties in Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill.

Anyone with information regarding Alston’s whereabouts is asked to call Orange County Public Safety Communications at 919-732-5063 or 911.
