Back-to-school safety starts before the first bell. Whether students walk, bike, ride the bus, get dropped off, or drive themselves, a few simple reminders can help make the school day safer.
• Walkers: Use sidewalks and crosswalks, stay alert, and make eye contact with drivers before crossing.
• Bicyclists: Wear a properly fitted helmet, ride with traffic, and stop fully at intersections.
• Bus riders: Wait well back from the curb, board only after the bus stops, and stay in the driver’s line of sight when crossing.
• Families at drop-off: Follow the school’s traffic plan, slow down in school zones, and never pass a stopped school bus.
• Teen drivers: Seatbelts on, phones away, and full attention on the road.
Our team at Better Insurance Group wishes Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and Scottsdale families a safe and successful school year. What safety reminder do you always share with your student?
