The numbers are in from our latest data survey—the US embryo transfer industry is on a roll! 📊🌟

Our most recent Statistical Information Committee report, using 2024 data from certified embryo transfer businesses, shows that 621,343 embryos were transferred in the US, a nearly 1️⃣0️⃣% jump from 2023 (88% were in vitro ETs, 12% were in vivo ETs!). IVP production crossed the 1 million mark, with 1,037,095 embryos produced in the US—up 6.6% year over year, fueled by explosive growth in the dairy sector 🐄.

The industry is also making its mark globally, with nearly 20,000 embryos exported to 34 countries in 2024. 😮

The technology driving all of this continues to advance: 37.5% of reporting businesses now use transvaginal ultrasound-guided oocyte aspiration, a testament to how far embryo transfer technology has come.

That kind of feedback goes straight to our Convention/Program Committee—co-chaired by our Vice President, Tyler Dohlman, and the Canadian Embryo Transfer Association’s Justin Kristjansson and Beausoleil “Bo” Lauzon—who is working hard to perfect this year’s program.
