Before you hit the trails, the lake, or the campground, make sure your toys are properly covered. A lot of people are surprised to learn their homeowners policy may NOT fully cover things like ATVs, side-by-sides, golf carts, or trailers once they leave the property.

This week: Roofs

Your roof does way more than just keep the rain out ☔️

Believe it or not, insurance companies pay a LOT of attention to:
• how old your roof is
• what material it’s made of
• how well it’s maintained

An older roof can sometimes mean higher premiums, fewer company options, or coverage restrictions. Some companies won’t even insure certain roofs once they hit a certain age 😬

And yes… the material matters too. Metal roofs and impact resistant shingles are usually viewed differently than older wood shake roofs or worn shingles.
