Would you know exactly what to do if you were involved in a car accident today? Save this checklist, just in case.

In the moments after an accident, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Staying calm and gathering the right information can help make the claims process smoother.

A few important steps:
✔ Check for injuries and move to a safe location if possible
✔ Contact law enforcement when appropriate
✔ Exchange important information with the other driver, including name and contact information, driver's license number, Insurance company and policy number, Vehicle make, model, and license plate number
✔ Take photos of the vehicles, damage, accident scene, and any relevant road conditions
✔ Gather contact information from any witnesses
✔ Report the claim as soon as possible
