Arizona showed up! 🙌 We had an amazing turnout for JAR’s 2027 Arizona Broker Kickoff, led by Lisa Farrah Carrillo and Osbaldo Padilla as we officially began preparing our agents for the upcoming AEP season.

Our agents heard valuable updates and insights from several of our healthcare carrier partners, including UnitedHealthcare, Verda Healthcare, Devoted Health, SCAN, Alignment Health, Aetna, WellCare, and HealthSpring, helping ensure they have the knowledge, resources, and support they need heading into one of the most important times of the year. A special thank-you to Oak Street Health, Arizona Priority Care, Suvida Healthcare, ArchWell Health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona for making the day even more memorable with giveaways for our agents.

This is only the beginning, and we’re excited to see even more of our agents at our upcoming events throughout August and September!

Our team recently attended two valuable industry events: the AltaMed Health Services Inland Empire Health Policy Summit and Blue Shield of California’s 2027 AEP Readiness event in Long Beach.

Together, these events gave us the opportunity to better understand the needs of the people who live and work in each community. At the AltaMed Inland Empire Health Policy Summit, local voices brought important conversations around healthcare access into sharper focus, while Blue Shield’s event helped us look ahead to the next enrollment season and strengthen our regional outreach.

Both experiences clarified our next steps, and we’re excited to put these insights into action as we prepare to welcome AEP 2027.

Last Friday night, JAR attended the AltaMed Foundation “East L.A. Meets Napa” event which celebrated the deep roots of Latino cuisine and Mexican winemaking while raising support for AltaMed’s community health programs.🍷

We were especially grateful to hear from AltaMed President and CEO Cástulo de la Rocha, AltaMed Foundation President Dr. Zoila D Escobar , and other leaders who spoke about the importance of expanding access to care. For JAR, it was a meaningful evening of connecting with fellow community supporters and celebrating the meaningful impact of our partnership with AltaMed.

Trust is built by showing up for the community. 🩺 Last week, JAR agent Lesly San Juan and UCLA Health representative Scott Casey had the opportunity to represent UCLA Health Medicare Advantage Plan at the Senior Expo USA event in Cerritos, where over 50 organizations and health plans came together to connect seniors and families with helpful resources, free health screenings, and trusted professionals.
