June 1st marks the start of hurricane season. Now is a good time to make sure you have proper & adequate coverage. I would suggest looking for a hurricane deductible and not a wind deductible. Since Superstorm Sandy, most companies have instituted either a wind or hurricane deductible which is a percentage of the total coverage you have on your structure/dwelling. It will cost you more out of pocket with a wind deductible because we are more likely to get wind events than a hurricane. Hope you all stay safe & enjoy the summer!

Don't believe what your insurance company tells you. They will interpret the policy language in a manner that is favorable to them-not you. Hire your own public adjuster to help you with your claim for damage to your home or business.

I hope this post finds you all well & safe! These are tough times emotionally, socially & financially with the Covid-19 pandemic. Most people are staying home as they should. When you change your clocks, please remember to test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Change the batteries if you haven't in awhile. These detectors have a life span and may also need to be replaced. They DO save lives!
