Why I chose a career in Mortgages...

For most of my career, I served in mission-driven not-for-profits tackling issues such as homelessness and access to healthcare. In 2012, I had the priviledge and humbling experience of going back to school in my mid 30’s. This led me to a sector and industry change in joining Climax Mine in Leadville, Colorado. I loved the people at the mine and I loved Leadville, but I felt I was lacking balance. A yearning to be more directly involved in my community caused me to search for an oppportunity that would allow me to remain in Leadville, make a living, and have the time to give back. I believe I found the sweet spot in becoming a Mortgage Banker.

My commitment to providing exceptional customer service, to learning and educating, and to helping others achieve their dreams have been and remain the guiding principles of both my personal and professional career.

I consider it an honor to be part of one, if not THE, largest purchase most people make in their lives. You see, I get to help people transition to the next chapter in their lives. This includes events such as: Getting a bigger home to prepare for the addition of family members, Paring down to save for other adventures, Restructuring debt to alleviate sleepless nights, Offering a line of credit to make some renovations, Having a mountain home to get-away from the hustle and bustle, and Getting that first home to call your own. All of these situations may require a different loan product, but essentially, I help people get to that next chapter. It can be exciting and it can be stressful, but I am there to help at every step and at every chapter along the way.
