A new name. One shared future. Welcome to Sentinel Financial Group! 🎉💙

We’ve been keeping a pretty big secret as we’ve shared the progress on our new Hiawatha office…and today, we can finally let you in on it!

We’re excited to officially introduce Sentinel Financial Group!

As we begin this next chapter, Strellner Financial Group and Anderson Financial Group are coming together under one shared name — Sentinel Financial Group.

While the name on the sign may be new, the people, relationships and commitment behind it remain at the heart of who we are. Sentinel represents an exciting step forward as we bring our teams together under one identity and look toward everything ahead.

And after months of watching our new space come together piece by piece, seeing the Sentinel Financial Group name officially on the building makes it all feel very real. 🙌

A quick reminder as we prepare for our upcoming move! 📦

Our office will be closed to in-person visits Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2 while we make the move to our new Hiawatha location.

Our team will still be available by phone during regular business hours, so you can continue to reach us as usual.

Another big step in the transformation! 👀🏗️

We’ve been sharing plenty of the work happening inside our new office, but today we’re taking things outside.

One of the final pieces of the project is starting to come together — our new exterior signage is going up! 🎉

There’s something pretty exciting about seeing the finishing touches being added to the building and realizing just how close we are to making this space officially ours.

We’re keeping the finished sign under wraps for just a little longer… 🤫💙

But trust us — we can’t wait to show you the final look!

October move-in is getting closer! 🏢✨

Some of the biggest changes aren’t just cosmetic. 👀

As our new office gets closer to completion, we couldn’t resist sharing a few before-and-afters of spaces that have been completely transformed.

The conference room was built within what was once a large open area, along with a new hallway providing access to the back offices. We also added a vestibule at the side entrance to create a buffer between the outdoors and the cubicle area. And a former storage space was opened up to create a continuous hallway through the office.

And sometimes, it’s the little things — like seeing the new window treatments go up — that really make the space start to feel finished. ✨

It’s been exciting to watch the layout take shape and see these plans become actual spaces!

We’re getting closer to move-in and can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new Hiawatha location this October. 💙

Another week of progress at our future home in Hiawatha! 🛠️

It’s exciting to watch the space take shape as we get closer to making it our own. There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes, but each week brings us one step closer to welcoming our team and clients into the new office.

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at our new office!

Over the past several weeks, our new space has been undergoing quite the transformation. From new walls and fresh paint to reworking spaces throughout the building, it’s exciting to see everything starting to come together.

When Plan A gets rained out, you make Plan B even better! ☔⛳

Last week we hosted our annual Strellner Financial Group Golf Outing, and while Mother Nature had other plans, the day turned into an incredible event thanks to the team at X-Golf Cedar Rapids.

Originally scheduled at Hunters Ridge Golf Course, we made a last-minute pivot due to the weather. X-Golf stepped up in a big way, accommodating our entire group across six simulator bays on short notice and helping us create an experience that was every bit as enjoyable as we had hoped.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, Sean Gilliland and Jimmy Martin, for helping make the outing possible. We also appreciate Jesse Meehan of Financial Decisions Group for sharing valuable insights during his presentation.

Congratulations to our contest winners, and thank you to everyone who joined us for a day filled with friendly competition, great conversations, and plenty of memorable shots.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who helped turn an unexpected weather challenge into a fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to next year!

⚾ What an incredible day at Miracle League! 💙

Earlier this month, our advisors Eric Kaestner and Jeff Hilleman had the opportunity to volunteer with Miracle League of Linn County — and they absolutely had a blast spending time with these amazing athletes and families.

The Miracle League of Linn County is home to approximately 150 players with special needs who come together to enjoy America’s favorite pastime — baseball. Through the support of volunteers, players get the opportunity to experience the joy of hitting the ball, scoring a run, hearing the crowd cheer, and being part of a team. ❤️

Beyond the game itself, it was inspiring to see the friendship, camaraderie, acceptance, and FUN shared by everyone on and around the field. We’re grateful to have been part of such a rewarding experience and thankful for organizations like Miracle League that make moments like these possible for so many families in our community.
