Through the generosity of our employees and their commitment to our community, we were able to donate $150,968 to United Way. This donation will help fund vital programs and services that support local families and individuals throughout the year, creating a lasting impact long after our campaign has ended.

As Waypoint Services neared the completion of their new apartment buildings, designed to provide stable housing for people experiencing homelessness, UFG Insurance had the opportunity to help one family moving in. Through donations of cleaning supplies, furniture, and household items, UFG employees from all over were able to support this special cause. From there, local Cedar Rapids employees were able to go and set up the apartment before the family moved in.

One of the most meaningful parts was helping create the first impression the family had of their new home. Our hope was that when they walked through the door for the first time, they felt welcomed, valued and inspired to begin a new chapter in their lives.
