CLPD was recently notified that US Census takers are doing some follow up calls. CLPD has called to verify this is NOT a scam. This is a reminder to always VERIFY the agent or census taker's identity. If the agent is in person, verify they have a Badge, name, photograph, water mark and logo. If on the phone, callers should identify themselves and the name of the survey, They should be calling from one of two contact centers: Jeffersonville, Indiana (Caller ID number 812-218-3144) or Tucson, Arizona (Caller ID number 520-798-4152). Voicemails will always include a case ID number that you can verify online. DO NOT provide any personal, bank or credit card information without verifying who you are talking to. If you aren't sure, you can verify the information with the state's Regional Census Bureau Office, calling one of the call center numbers above, or reach out to your local law enforcement agency if you feel you have been scammed.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs at locations in communities throughout the country. The Town will be hosting a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Sediment Dewatering Facility on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 4 p.m. on the beach. The public beach will be closed for swimming and sunbathing from 2-6 p.m.
