Big news for our Cedar City community — and a heartfelt thank you. 🤠
For 35 years, Roger Olcott has been more than an insurance agent to this community. He's been a trusted neighbor, an advocate, and a friend to thousands of families and businesses across Cedar City and Southern Utah. His dedication, integrity, and genuine care for every client he's ever served have built something truly special here.
After 35 years of showing up for this community, Roger made the decision to retire — a retirement he has more than earned. But Roger being Roger, he wasn't going to hand this agency to just anyone. He wanted to make sure the people who had trusted him for decades would be in good hands.
Roger and I first connected back in the fall of last year, and over the months that followed we built a real relationship grounded in shared values and a mutual love for this community. The more we got to know each other, the more Roger felt confident that the agency — and more importantly, his clients — would be cared for the right way. It was Roger's decision to personally ask me to step in and take over, and that trust means everything to me.
One of my favorite moments during this whole transition was getting to stand alongside Roger at the Easter Egg Hunt right here at Cedar City Park. Being out there together, seeing how many people know and love him, made it even clearer just how much he has given to this town — and how much I want to honor that.
I'm Ken Williams, and I am deeply honored to continue what Roger started. And here's what makes this transition truly special — Roger isn't completely walking away. He's staying on to make sure every client continues to receive the same outstanding service they have always known.
And Lindsey — Roger's daughter — is absolutely staying on the team as well. Lindsey grew up in and around this agency. Insurance wasn't just her dad's job, it was part of her life from the very beginning. For the past five years she has served clients officially as part of the team, and in that time she has become someone clients genuinely trust and count on. She carries her dad's heart for service and brings her own dedication and warmth to every interaction. We are incredibly fortunate to have her, and her presence here is one of the strongest signs that the best of what Roger built is continuing forward.
Our promise to you is simple: everything you loved about this agency stays — the familiar faces, the personal relationships, the local knowledge, and the genuine care. We are just getting started building on top of an incredible foundation.
