Tonight, I get to hand out the 3rd annual Golden Ratchet Scholarship awards to two dedicated students at the Elizabeth High School Auto Program. Derek Spohn does an amazing job running it and helping the next generation get involved and interested. I'm proud to help his mission and support the students!

Each winner will get a $500 gift card for Tekton tools to help their journey. Oh and a golden ratchet. :)

I never believed in anchoring down a playset. I figured it was in case the kids started swinging too hard, it'd make the set lift or something.

Welp, I learned about 5 years ago. We built this when we first moved in and with 12 hours of completion, a micro burst came through and lifted it 30 feet in the air and moved it another 25 feet before it came crashing down (neighbors were outside and watched it happen).

Thankfully, my kid wasn't playing on it at the time.
