Ok, so we're hearing reports of big hail in the Highlands Ranch area. If you have your insurance with us, here's what to do: If you think you have damage to your roof/house, call a reputable roofer/contractor and have them come inspect it before calling a claim. If you do have hail damage and the roofer says its worth calling in, call 1-800-255-7828 and have your policy number ready. For cars, if you carry comprehensive coverage, that is what covers hail. There's no loss of discounts for a hail claim so if you have damage to your car, call 1-800-255-7828 and have your policy number ready. We're hearing reports of big hail in the Highlands Ranch area. If you were hit by this, here's what you need to do:

For your car, call 1-800-255-7828. Have your policy number ready. Hail claims don't count against you and are subject to your comprehensive deductible. This will get the claim started and they'll get an adjuster out as soon as possible. They may even be able to schedule you with one of our pro shops that can act as the adjuster.

For your home, have a roofer come out and inspect your roof. We need to make sure there is enough damage to warrant turning a claim in before we call the claims office. Be aware, as soon as you call the claims number and talk to a representative, you may have a claim on your record. If you're 100% sure you have enough damage, you can call 1-800-255-7828 to get the claim process started.

As this rain never seems to stop, we want to take this time to address flooding. Flooding is NOT covered under any home policy. You have to have a flood policy through FEMA to cover flooding. The definition of flooding is the water touching the soil before coming into the home. So if a window well fills up with water and water leaks in, that is not covered. If hail breaks out a window and the water comes in through the broken window without touching the soil, that is covered. Try to check any areas below grade for saturation so you can catch any water damage sooner than later. Feel free to call us with any questions.
