🚗 **FAST FACTS FRIDAY: Recreational Vehicles!** 🏕️🛻

ATVs, side-by-sides, golf carts, snowmobiles, e-bikes… all the toys that make Michigan weekends a little more fun! 😎

But here’s the important part: **How your recreational vehicles are insured matters.**

Depending on the type of vehicle and how it’s used, coverage may be available on your **home policy, auto policy, or a separate recreational vehicle policy** — and those options don’t always provide the same coverage.

A few things we look at:
✔️ Is there coverage for damage to the recreational vehicle itself?
✔️ What happens if you accidentally injure someone or damage their property?
✔️ Is it covered while being transported?
✔️ Where and how is it being used?
✔️ Is there a better or more affordable way to insure it?

We’ve actually found that **moving certain recreational vehicles from the home policy to the auto policy can sometimes provide better coverage AND save money.** 🙌

If you have an ATV, UTV, golf cart, snowmobile, or other rec vehicle sitting on your home policy, it may be worth a quick review!

🚗🎓 FAST FACTS FRIDAY: College Edition! 🎓🚗

Have a student heading off to college with a vehicle? Don’t forget to give your insurance agent a call!

If their vehicle will be kept at school, the garaging address on your auto policy may need to be updated to reflect where the vehicle is actually being kept most of the time.

Why does it matter? 👇

📍 Where a vehicle is garaged can affect the rating and premium on your policy.
🏫 Even if your student’s permanent address is still your home, their vehicle may need to be rated at their college location.
🚘 Keeping this information accurate helps make sure your policy is written correctly if a claim happens.

And if your student is heading to school without a vehicle, let us know that too! There may be different rating or discount options available depending on your carrier and how far away they’re attending school.
