I have a couple of short announcements. 📩

My Grandma turns 92 next week so I will be out of the office November 6-8 to travel up north for her birthday party.

Also, I have decided early that 307 OSOW Permitting isn't going anywhere! Old Skool Trucking has just been busier than ever, and it was getting a little overwhelming with so many drivers, and my own company being super busy at the same time.

I will be back in the office & ready for new clients starting Monday, November 9th!

Existing customers can just continue to call me before emailing me until then.

I know I said I was taking a step back, but I’ve had the idea for this post since Monday night, and my whole week got away from me.

If one of my posts goes on to help another company stay organized, then I’ll keep posting when I have post ideas.

As I gather IFTA receipts from the drivers each quarter, I check them into my pre-made Excel spreadsheet for that quarter, and then I add them into the right envelope (shown below).

This not only helps me stay organized by the due date and avoid losing receipts, but it will also help if I ever have an audit.

I went for a drive this evening right before dark. That's why these are grainy.

I will be taking a step back from my permitting company to focus on my busy job at Old Skool Trucking, some personal goals, and my photography through the main part of fall/the start of winter.

For now, if you need a permit or have a question call me at 307-277-1480 & I will make time for your permits. I have another business idea pulling at my heart & I need to step away from the stress of permitting for a while.

On 12/31/26 I will make my final decision to close my business or keep it open.

So sorry for any inconvenience this will cause. 💔

Another FMCSA requirement I haven't discussed yet is a BOC-3 Processing Agent. It's $25/year & you need to keep the receipts in one place so that if the FMCSA audits you, they can see every year you have had one.

The link will take you to the one I use & it lists a lot of good information if you have never dealt with one before.

Process Agent LLC provides no hassle service for motor carriers. Real commercial offices in 50 states and DC. No hidden fees.

Posting this here because I know it's not easy to figure out.

After you log in to all three FMCSA websites, you have to add user access, then add all tabs under your DOT number, or the sites won't connect.

Please remember that each CDL driver must have their own driver account on the Clearinghouse login. Then the person managing the account has the company login. That is how they explained it to me, so that is how I set up my accounts.

I always post about how many states my clients have hired me to get permits in for their own business travel, but how many states has everyone actually traveled to?

I've personally been to 16 states. I haven't traveled out of the country yet, but maybe someday I will be lucky enough to get my passport. ✈️🤓

Did you know I can help with more than just OSOW permits?!

I can help you get a septic system permit or a Natrona County building permit. I don't have the credentials to do them for you, but I know everything you need to get a Natrona County building permit or a septic system designed, walk you through the perc test, and map out the site plan and septic system design. I also know how to submit the paperwork online to the county and the health department. (Not the city of Casper at this time, just the county)

I've helped with seven different buildings so far. 🙃😊
