FHA's 90-Day Flip Rule May Be Going Away

FHA officials recently indicated they are considering eliminating the agency's 90-day anti-flipping rule.

FHA is currently the only major loan program with this restriction
Buyers cannot use FHA financing if the seller has owned the home less than 90 days
Officials say valuation technology has improved significantly since the rule was created
If adopted, the change could increase access to renovated inventory for FHA buyers while creating more opportunities for investors selling updated homes.

This proposal is still under review, but it's one worth watching.
