The Insurance Division extends warm congratulations to Yvonne Vestal on an outstanding 25 years of dedicated service to the State of Nevada. Commissioner Ned Gaines is presenting Vestal with a Certificate of Recognition signed by Governor Joe Lombardo. Over her career, Vestal has contributed her expertise to multiple state agencies and now serves as a Management Analyst II for the Division of Insurance.

“When I started working with the State, I never imagined I'd be here 25 years. I thought I'd go to school, get a degree in something (teaching or social work), and then leave the State to go work in that degree field,” said Vestal. “Along the way I decided I didn't want to do either of those things while working my way up the ladder, raising my children and going to school. I only just finished my AA in the Summer 2025, I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up, and here I am still 25 years later. I have learned a few things working at DOI these past (almost) 3 years: change happens whether you like it or not and there is always something new to learn if you want to - just to name a couple. I am proud of the work I've done at the various agencies I've worked for and am happy for the life lessons and experiences each position has brought me.”

Please join us in congratulating Yvonne on a fantastic 25 years of working for the Silver State.
