With the fall harvest underway, farmers not only have to keep an eye on the weather, they’re keeping an eye on their bottom line as high diesel fuel prices cut into any anticipated profits.

It’s that time of year to glam out your pumpkins and enter them into the PA Preferred Pumpkin Palooza! 🎃

Celebrate the season by picking a locally grown pumpkin and turning it into a creative masterpiece for this year’s contest.

Two contest categories:
- Painted pumpkins
- Carved pumpkins

Three age groups:
- Child (11 and under)
- Youth (12–17)
- Adult (18+)

To enter:
Email a photo of your pumpkin to [email protected] by October 26 at 11:59 p.m.

Include your name, age, hometown and county, contact info, and the PA farm or market where you bought your pumpkin.

Winners will be announced on October 31, 2026.

Congratulations to Clarrisa who won our Mystery Cooler Raffle! 🎊🏆👏 Not only did she win an American made Cordova cooler worth $300, but inside were gift cards, gift certificates, corn maze passes, SFU apparel, all worth over $700 from Cambria County Farm Bureau Members! Enjoy your prize Clarrisa!

Going to Potatofest tomorrow in Ebensburg? Make sure to swing by the Penn Eben Park Gazebo and check out our booth. Come say hello and check out Cambria County potato farming history, current growers, and info on Farm Bureau!

We will also have 10lb bags of potatoes for sale from Hite Farms Corn Maze! Alex Hite, Eila Hoover, and Tanner Hite just dug a fresh batch today and are bagging them for tomorrow 😋🥔 we will have reds and whites. We hope to see you 🫵 at Potatofest!

Thank you all who attended last night's Fall Meeting. Special thanks to all our sponsors! There were many written reports and policies to work on and we appreciate the audience participation to get it done!

We would like to welcome our two new Board members Janalee Schilling and Bob Davis 👏 Thank you Bob Lieb and Jim Benshoff for your commitment and dedication to Cambria County Farm Bureau 👏 Members Marty Yahner, Ed Vorhauer, and Hattie Henderson were re-elected to the Board as well, thank you three for your commitment 👏

We also had our first Cambria County Farm Bureau Member of the Year Award called the "Golden Pitchfork Award" 🔱 This award is given to a Cambria County Farm Bureau member/couple who are involved in Farm Bureau and the ag community. Bob Davis ,aka "Auggie", won the Golden Pitchfork!

Bob is a hay and small grain farmer from Colver. Bob was a past Board Member, past County President, attends many monthy Board meetings, started the Ag Association Breakfast, participates in Ag Literacy, our Member Relations Chair, and many other roles. Bob is always willing to help and lend a hand for our ag community and thats why he is our Golden Pitchfork Award recipient. Congratulations Auggie, thank you for all you do 👍👏🏆

Mystery Cooler Raffle winner was pulled last night and we will have a separate Facebook post soon and the contents of the cooler will be shared.
