🚨TAKE ACTION: Protect American Beef Production 🚨

Illinois Farm Bureau and Illinois Beef Association are asking you to urge Congress and the White House to protect American beef production.

An additional 660 million pounds of foreign beef is set to enter the U.S. over just 90 days at prices 25% below market value, undercutting producers.

Now is not the time. Farmers need long-term market stability, allowing producers to rebuild the U.S. cattle herd, increase American beef production and ensure consumers have access to a safe, abundant and affordable food supply.

Last week, our staff, volunteers, and local legislators had the unique opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour with the O'Hare International Airport Agriculture Specialists! We learned about the Ag Specialists' jobs, why certain foods and products are not allowed to cross the border, watched a K9 demonstration with Rocky the Beagle, and saw a sampling of contraband. It was a very eye-opening experience!

Explore Illinois resources were delivered to 54 schools last week! This fall, over 3,300 4th grade students will be learning about agriculture's important people, places, crops, and natural resources in relation to their Illinois Social Studies Unit. Thank you to all the amazing DuPage County teachers who are going above and beyond to bring agriculture education to your classroom!
