At Police and Firemen's Insurance Association, we stand together—not just as first responders, but as a family committed to supporting one another in every battle, including the fight against breast cancer.

This month, we honor the survivors, remember those we've lost, and support the warriors still fighting. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women—and countless families. It touches our colleagues, our loved ones, and our communities.

September 11th remains one of the darkest days in our nation's history. We honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the bravery of the first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation.

Attention parents of students attending Pleasant Crossing and residents in the area. Please do not be alarmed by the overwhelming amount of Police and Fire presence in the area on July 30th, the first day of school. CPPD, along with other departments and fire agencies in the area are going to be escorting and welcoming a very special student on her very first day of kindergarten. This student was diagnosed in 2022 with a very rare brain cancer. Unfortunately over the past 3 years, she has faced multiple recurrences and it has now been deemed inoperable. With that being said, we are not sure how many first days of school she will be having, so we are making this one the best first day in the only way we know how! We will be escorting this special student, and her family, from their residence to Pleasant Crossing Elementary just before arrival time. We will be lining the streets of 125 W, with our lights on, in front of Pleasant Crossing to show her just how special she is. If you happen to see us during our special tribute, please do not panic, feel free to honk and wave to show her some love as well.
