Leadership Cape spent the day exploring what it takes to develop and strengthen Cape Girardeau! 🚧🏗️

Our Developing Cape session gave participants a firsthand look at the many pieces that support economic growth in our region, from construction, industry, transportation, tourism, infrastructure, business expansion, and future development.

Congratulations to Amerimart Convenience Stores on the grand opening of location #23! ✂️🎊🇺🇸

We had a great morning celebrating their new location at 2912 Cape LaCroix Road with a ribbon cutting, community members, the Amerimart team, and a few fun special guests!

It was exciting to see the new space, welcome them to this location, and celebrate the hard work that went into officially opening their doors.

Locally represented by Adam Metelski, Water Treatment Account Manager, Jaytech helps protect critical systems through cooling tower treatment, steam boiler treatment, closed loop systems, filtration solutions, water management consulting, remote monitoring, Legionella testing support, and equipment programs.

What a sweet night with our Women’s Network! 🏓🍦💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at The Pickleball Factory for our Open Social. It was such a fun evening with an incredible group of ladies. A special thank you to Victoria's Creamery - Cape Girardeau for bringing the yummy ice cream. It was the perfect treat for a summer social!

And the fun continues on July 16th with our very first Helpy Hour: Serve + Socialize at the SEMO Food Bank. We will give back together, then kick back together.

🎊🌟 MEMBERSHIP BLITZ SPOTLIGHT 🌟🎊

Southeast Missouri Young Life 💚

Southeast Missouri Young Life has been serving students in our area since 1983, with Cape Central High School as its flagship school for more than 40 years.

Over the years, their ministry has continued to grow. In 2020, Young Life College was added at Southeast Missouri State University, and in fall 2025, WYLDlife launched in Jackson to serve 5th and 6th grade students.

Through weekly clubs, campaigners Bible study groups, and adventure camps at Young Life properties across the country, Southeast Missouri Young Life creates spaces for students to build relationships, grow in their faith, and feel known and supported.

One SEMO Young Life College student shared, “Young Life College has given me a genuine loving family that I feel like I can count on. The leaders have been my mentors and it's helped me understand the Bible better and be able to discern what God is doing in my life.”

Their mission is simple: connecting young adults to Jesus and helping them grow in their faith. As they celebrate finishing their first year of WYLDlife at Jackson Middle School, Southeast Missouri Young Life is looking forward to meeting new friends and building connections through the Chamber.
