UNESCO offers targeted grants and funding opportunities to support small businesses, particularly those in the cultural and creative industries (CCIs). Through initiatives like the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD), projects can receive up to US$100,000 over 12β24 months to strengthen local cultural markets, build entrepreneurial skills, and develop innovative business models in developing countries.
Additionally, programs such as the Transcultura Seed Capital Grant Scheme provide smaller grants of up to US$50,000 to young entrepreneurs (aged 18β35) in the Caribbean, helping startups expand operations, launch new products, or adopt innovative technologies within the creative sector.
These grants aim to foster sustainable cultural entrepreneurship, empower micro and small enterprises, and promote diversity of cultural expressions while contributing to broader economic and social development.
