Some great information & a reminder from our friends at LCSO!!

~Good Morning~

Good morning Lincoln County! We hope you are all enjoying this great weather and getting all your shopping done. That said, don’t forget your winter car maintenance. While the weather is still good, it is a great time to get your car ready for winter travel. Below are a few things to check and ensure you have in your car.

-Tire Tread Depth: 2/32 is the minimum required by law but lower than 4/32 can significantly increase your stopping distance. Also, check their air pressure to make sure they are properly inflated.

-Wiper Blades: Make sure they are in good condition and working properly

-Headlights/ Brake Lights: Make sure they are working properly

-Battery: Cars can take more battery power to start in the winter so have it tested to make sure it is in good condition

-Ice Scraper: Ensure those windows are clear of snow and ice before driving.

-Winter Survival Kit: Hopefully you never have to use this, but items such as a flashlight, emergency blankets, cell phone charger, jumper cables, a small shovel, snacks, warm gloves, and a hat are all great items to keep in your car.

-Fuel: Keep that gas gauge or electric car charged above half that way if you do get stranded, you will have plenty of fuel as rescue may be a long time.

Our physical office will be closed the rest of the day today & potentially tomorrow as they re-roof our building!!

We are so happy for the new roof (and getting our sign back up after the wind!), however, it’s so loud we can not effectively work!
