A little about Jordan… “I am newly married and a proud mom of two boys. I spend most of my free time at the baseball field or cheering from the sidelines at various sporting events. Supporting my kids and being involved in their activities and school is one of my greatest joys. I’m excited to being this new adventure and look forward to building relationships, assisting our clients, and welcoming new faces along the way!”

Quick update from Colin that they have elevated us to a level 4 for this afternoon/evening. Spoon River Weather has an earlier post about the forecast so make sure you go check it out.

Now is the time to make sure your outside stuff is secure, flashlights charged up, batteries for your weather radio and any emergency plans are talked about with your family.

Now, this does not mean we absolutely get hit. These storms will be isolated in nature. However, we are PRIMED for some weather development today and it is unpredictable which areas get hit.

Please take some time today and this evening and stay on alert. Make sure you have a safe place to go should the worst happen.

11:30 a.m.: Quick update to let you all know that the SPC has upgraded to a moderate (level 4/5) risk, driven by the threat for multiple strong/intense tornadoes. This does include much of Fulton County (see red area in the graphic); however, nothing has fundamentally changed in terms of the forecast or setup. See last post for more info.

In general, we find ourselves in a moderate risk maybe once per year or so on average, so that should drive home the gravity of today’s potential severe weather.
