One of the strongest parts of this conversation with Lance OBrien was the connection between culture and client experience.

The way a team communicates, carries themselves, and supports one another eventually shows up in the experience clients have as well.

As Lance explains, culture is not just an internal conversation, it influences how people feel when they interact with your organization.

Over time, most of the wealth ends up in one place: the business.

That works while you are building it. But at some point, the question changes.

• What do you actually walk away with?
• How much is cash vs. deferred?
• How does this turn into income?

Selling the business does not answer these questions. It brings them forward.
The outcome is not just the transaction. It’s how that transaction is structured, taxed, and turned into something you can rely on.

Leadership is not just about the position someone holds, it’s about how they truly show up.

In this conversation, Lance OBrien shares why leading through posture, service, and example tends to create stronger teams than leading through authority alone.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifices have created freedom and opportunities for us that continue to shape generations today.

As we spend time with family and loved ones this weekend, we remember those who made that privilege possible.

What does a successful client-advisor relationship actually look like?

A simple way to think about it is the “R factor” question. Look three years ahead and define what success means to you.

• What would need to happen for this to feel like progress?
• What would feel aligned, both personally and financially?
• What would you want to look back on and say worked well?

Sometimes just defining the outcome makes the path forward clearer.

If you haven’t had this conversation yet, it may be worth starting. And if you’d like to talk it through, we’re here to help: educoadvgrp.com

Most people don’t question how they buy things — just what they buy.

But what if the real question is:
Is this an appreciating asset… or a depreciating one?

We’ve been taught to avoid debt at all costs. But not all debt is created equal.

If an asset historically grows around ~10% annually, and you can borrow at 3–4%, that gap isn’t just math — it’s opportunity.
The difference? It can work for you… or quietly cost you.

Next time you’re about to make a big purchase, pause and ask:
Am I using something that grows… to pay for something that shrinks?

That one question can change everything.

If you’re thinking through this in the context of your broader plan, we’re here to talk. Simply, send us a message.

Should you pay cash or use debt? It’s a question we hear often at Educo Advisor Group, especially around larger purchases like a vehicle.

As our President, Jacob Cuthbert often shares, the decision is not just about the purchase itself. It’s about what you may be giving up to make it.

Some purchases begin to lose value the moment they are used. Others have the potential to grow or create future opportunity. This contrast is worth considering.

Before using cash or drawing from your assets, it helps to think about what that money could become if used differently.

We’ll continue sharing more perspectives from our team. Stay tuned!

Clarity often comes from how decisions are guided.

In this conversation, Jacob Cuthbert and Lance O’Brien, CEO of MediConnect, discuss how simplifying complex topics like Medicare can lead to better outcomes over time.

From education and structure to leadership and team alignment, this episode highlights how what happens behind the scenes often shapes the client experience.

A consistent thread throughout the conversation: When complexity is reduced, better decisions become easier to make.

We usually think of investments as stocks, bonds, or real estate.

But as Jacob Cuthbert shares, one of the most overlooked investments is the one you make in yourself.

Think of your education, ideas and about building something of your own. Those decisions can shape your long-term growth in ways traditional investments cannot.
