Good afternoon, Cannon Falls! 🎉 We are super excited to share that our blood drive on May 27th was a big success. We collected 32 units of blood, which is more than our goal of 25!

Scammers are getting smarter, but you can outsmart them! Remember, legitimate financial institutions will NEVER contact you out of the blue asking for your account number, password, or PIN. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and reach out to your bank directly using the number on the back of your card.

Stay vigilant! 🚫 If you get an email or text asking for personal info, do not click any links or call any numbers provided.

🚨 FRAUD ALERT 🚨

We’re seeing an increase in scams targeting people selling items on Facebook Marketplace.

Scammers may claim:

❌ Your Venmo/Cash App account needs to be “upgraded”

❌ Payment is “on hold”

❌ You need to send money to receive money

They may even ask you to:

⚠ Share your screen through FaceTime

⚠ Enter debit card or banking information

⚠ Call a fake support number

Remember:

✔ Legitimate payment apps will NEVER require you to send money to receive money.

Before selling online:

• Verify payments directly in the app

• Never share your screen

• Never give banking information to buyers
