With all the snow on roofs, try to prevent ice dams from building by getting the snow off your roof from your eve to about 4 feet up the roof. It isn't the easiest thing to do but preventing water from getting into your house and damaging ceilings and sheetrock it is well worth it.

Just a reminder as the snow is melting away to check your sump pump to make sure it is working correctly and check the hose to make sure it is out away from the house.

A few precautions to take to try to help protect your house from flooding with this upcoming storm.
Make sure your sump hose is free and clear.
Check your sump pump to make sure it is working
Make sure your downspout extensions are on and free of ice and snow
