Did you know that there are actually a couple of distinctions between clovers and shamrocks? To start with shamrocks have three leaves while clover can have a fourth. Shamrocks are usually green meanwhile clover can be purple, green, or white. The last major difference is that shamrocks grow in clumps while four-leaf clovers are rare and grow one at a time.
