Before the year-end rush, take a closer look at these three numbers:

1. Your cash outlook. What will be available after upcoming payroll, vendor bills, debt payments, and other commitments?

2. Your unpaid invoices. How much is overdue, and what needs follow-up now?

3. Your projected year-end profit. How does it compare with your expectations, and what should you review with your tax preparer?

Together, these numbers can help you make more informed decisions for the rest of the year and start planning for 2027.

ADR Business Services helps turn financial reports into practical conversations about what comes next. Message us to talk about support for your business.

Your rentals may be bringing in income—but do you know how each property is performing?

Portfolio totals can hide a property with rising expenses, repeated repairs, or a vacancy that’s putting pressure on cash flow.

Tracking income and expenses by property helps you see operating results. Looking separately at debt payments, major improvements, and cash reserves helps you understand the cash available, too.

ADR Business Services helps real-estate investors organize their books and understand the numbers behind their properties.

A full schedule doesn’t always mean healthy margins.

Labor overruns, material changes, and unbilled change orders can quietly eat into a project’s profit. Looking only at total company revenue can make those issues harder to spot.

Useful job reporting helps you compare budgeted costs with actual costs, track approved changes, and see which projects need attention while there’s still time to respond.

ADR Business Services supports builders and contractors with bookkeeping and controller services that connect the numbers to the work happening on the job.

If you’re waiting until a job is finished to learn how it performed, let’s talk.

Sales are coming in, but your bank balance isn’t keeping pace. One place to look: unpaid invoices.

Which customers are past due? How much cash is tied up? Is someone consistently following up—and resolving the issues that delay payment?

Accounts receivable deserves more than a quick glance at month-end. A clear collection process can help you plan around the cash you actually have.

ADR Business Services helps owners bring more visibility and consistency to their receivables. Message us if collecting payment has become another job on your already-full plate.

Your books are reconciled. Your reports are ready. But can you use them to decide whether to hire, take on another project, or make a major purchase?

Accurate bookkeeping is the foundation. Controller and CFO support help turn those numbers into a clearer picture of your cash flow, profitability, and next steps.

At ADR Business Services, we help owners understand what their numbers mean for the business they’re building.

What decision would you feel more confident making if you had better financial visibility? Send us a message—we’d love to talk.

There's a lot of space between “I need someone to keep my books” and “I need a full-time controller.”

That's where ADR Business Services comes in.

We work with small business owners who want reliable bookkeeping and financial information they can actually use.

That can mean keeping the day-to-day accounting organized and accurate.

Or it can mean going further—with cash-flow planning, reporting, budgeting, profitability analysis and controller-level financial support.

We have particular experience working with businesses in construction, real estate, property management and related industries, where timing, job or property-level performance and cash flow can make the accounting more complex.

If your business has reached the point where you're asking questions your current financial reports aren't answering, we'd be happy to talk.

You don't necessarily need more numbers. You may just need more clarity from the numbers you already have.

We're heading into the final quarter of the year.

Before October begins, it's worth spending a few minutes checking the financial health of your business.

☐ Review year-to-date profit. How does it compare with last year and with what you expected?

☐ Review accounts receivable. Are there invoices that need attention?

☐ Look at cash. What major expenses or tax payments are coming before year-end?

☐ Review expenses. Anything creeping upward that deserves a closer look?

☐ Think ahead. What decisions will you need to make between now and December 31?

There's still time to make changes before the year is over.

The best time to discover a year-end problem isn't December 30.

Business owners don't usually come to us because they're excited about financial reports.

They come to us because there's a question they can't answer.

“Why is cash so tight?”

“Can we afford this?”

“Which part of the business is actually profitable?”

“What should we be watching?”

“Why don't these numbers make sense?”

The accounting is how we get to the answer.

Our goal is to take all of that financial information and turn it into something a business owner can actually understand and use.

Because a technically perfect report isn't particularly valuable if no one knows what it's telling them.

Sometimes your bookkeeping is perfectly accurate—and it's still no longer enough.

You may be ready for more financial support if:

1. You regularly make major decisions based on your bank balance.

2. You're receiving financial reports but aren't sure what you should be looking at.

3. Cash flow keeps surprising you.

4. You need budgets, forecasts or more detailed reporting to make decisions.

5. Your CPA, lender or other advisors regularly ask for financial information that's difficult to produce.

That doesn't necessarily mean you need to hire a full-time accounting employee.

It may simply mean your business has reached the point where you need someone looking forward as well as backward.

And that's exactly where fractional controller support can make sense.
