About Me: I grew up in Central New York on Oneida Lake, in the small town of Canastota, which is only 45 minutes away from the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown! My husband, Nick, and I relocated to the Capital Region in 2017 and now reside in Glenville, near the Erie Canal with our German Shepherd/Husky Mix named Tacori and our two black cats named Halloween and Grey. I love spending my time outdoors,

and discovering new local restaurants and businesses, and I am an avid Dave Matthews Band fan. State Farm® and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) are proud to team up for the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program to help resource-constrained volunteer fire departments secure needed equipment. The program launched in 2024 with $1 million in grants awarded to 100 departments.

Due to overwhelming need in the volunteer fire service, State Farm increased its commitment to $1.5 million in 2025. A total of 150 volunteer fire departments will each receive a $10,000 grant to help them secure essential equipment that will improve firefighter safety, effectiveness, and efficiency and enable them to better serve their communities. Ongoing support from State Farm ensures that more volunteer fire departments have the resources they need to protect their teams and the people they serve.

Our office recently presented a $10,000 check to the Ames Volunteer Fire Department. The Ames Volunteer Fire Department was one of just eight volunteer fire departments in New York selected to receive this important support. We are proud to embody the spirit of a Good Neighbor.
