Who: Coatsburg Lions Club
What: Whole Hog Day
When: Saturday, March 14th from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: Paloma Shelter House, Paloma, IL
Cost: $9.00 for adults, $4.50 for children 6-12, FREE for children under 6. Serving pancakes, whole hog sausage, biscuits & gravy and scrambled eggs. Coffee, Milk & Water available. Meat will be for sale in the east kitchen of the shelter house Friday evening, March 13th & all day on Saturday, March 14th. You can also call 217-430-3988 to reserve a meat order.
The will be a gun raffle at the door for a gun to be given away. There will also be a collection of old eyeglasses, hearing aids and old cell phones.
The Central Adams Firecracker 4-H Club will also be there hosting a bake sale.

Who: St. Edward’s Catholic Church
What: Fish Fry
When: Friday, March 13th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Mendon, IL
Catfish dinner is $10, Walleye dinner is $9, Kids grilled cheese dinner is $5. Dine in, carry-out or use the drive-through service

Who: Ursa Retreat House
What: Annual pancake and sausage breakfast fundraiser
When: Saturday, March 14th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: Mendon High School cafeteria, Mendon, IL
Cost is $8 for adults and children 3-10 are $3. The menu consists of Whole hog sausage, pancakes, biscuits & gravy. Proceeds to benefit the Ursa Retreat House Christian Camp.

What: Spring Hard Times Supper
When: Saturday, March 14th at 4 p.m.
Where: United Methodist Church of Loraine, Loraine, IL
Free will offering meal consisting of beans with pork, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, cornbread, applesauce and a dessert.

Who: The Country Cousins 4-H Club
What: Irish Feast
When: Sunday, March 15th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Golden Community Building, Golden, IL
Free Will Donation meal consisting of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, applesauce, mixed fruit, desserts, tea, lemonade and coffee. Hot dogs will also be available. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the Golden Friends, the Golden Good Shepherd Home, the Community for Christ Assistance Center and the remaining money raised going toward club dues, project books and other club expenses. Meal funded in part by DOT Foods, Dearwester Grain, Adams Electric Co-Op, Ursa Farmers Co-Op and Adams Telephone Co-Op.
