April 15, 2023 - WoodmenLife Member Appreciation Event was a success. We had fried catfish, French fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. We also had some of the best desserts! WoodmenLife provided door prizes such as two rocking lawn chairs, gift cards to Home Depot, and an IGloo ice chest. Chapter 19 wants to thank everyone that was able attend this event! We will be having another event in the Fall. No date has been set yet. We hope to increase the attendance of these events!

As a not-for-profit organization, WoodmenLife partakes in community outreach every quarter. This quarter we chose to create care packages for individuals at The Springs of Camden Health & Rehabilitation. Each individual package includes a plush blanket, socks, a puzzle book, a container of peppermints and a few other small items like pens and stress balls. A few reps were involved along with a few members. We appreciate everyone’s involvement in creating these bags and getting them delivered.

For a few years now WoodmenLife has been providing a “Giving Together Project” for the alpha representatives. With these projects the reps can choose whether they want to do a clean up project, beautification project, or a painting project. Rep Marc Harris chose this year to do a beautification project at Harmony Grove School District. Thank you Harmony Grove for letting us do this and thank you Mr. Brian Jackson for providing help from a couple of class periods.

One of the many great things about WoodmenLife is that we give back to the community. Tonight representative Marc Harris and Recruiting Sales Manager Tanner Skidmore were joined by a few chapter members in packing food bags to give to kids in need at Smackover School District. 66 bags were prepared which is enough to provide those currently enrolled in Smackover’s food program for 3 weeks. Tomorrow these bags will be delivered to the school so students can begin taking them home this weekend.
