Kinvarra was just awarded $2.25 million in Massachusetts state tax credits for our project at 38 Norman St. in Salem under the state’s housing development incentive program - HDIP. These tax credits are designed to generate market rate housing in Gateway cities. Without these credits, the project would not be viable.

We want to thank governor Maura Healy, secretary of housing and livable communities Ed Augustus, Lieutenant governor Kim Driscoll and city of Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo (and city councilors/staff) and senator Joan Lovely for their support and bringing desperately needed market rate housing to Salem. We are looking forward to breaking ground in 2025.
