In May, Minnco continued to show up for our communities, volunteering our time and supporting great causes while living out our cooperative values.

On May 22, students and staff from Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Intermediate schools took part in their annual Silent Dismissal to honor the sacrifice of fallen U.S. military members.

In honor and respect for the veterans who have served our country, every child in the Primary and Intermediate Schools exited through a silent line of veterans while holding signs showing their appreciation for the service and sacrifice our veterans have given for all of us.

Minnco was honored to work at the registration table and had the opportunity to speak with every veteran who attended. Minnco also hosted the refreshment table, providing coffee, water, and cookies for the veterans to enjoy.

It was a very moving experience to witness the respect and gratitude shown by the students and staff. We are proud to support events like these that help teach the next generation the importance of honoring those who have served our nation.

A look at Minnco Foundation's 9th Annual Golf Classic from last week!

Because of the incredible support from our sponsors, golfers, and community partners, we raised over $55,000 for the Minnco Foundation this year!

These funds will go directly toward supporting financial literacy initiatives, scholarships for local students, and partnerships with charitable organizations in the communities we serve.

We can’t wait to see everyone back on the course next year!

As always, Minnco was out and about in our communities sharing our cooperative spirit and volunteering for great causes throughout the month of April.

This month, we would like to spotlight Every Meal
During the school year, Minnco employees volunteer at Cambridge Primary School and the Cambridge Early Childhood Center to discreetly place bags of food into backpacks for children who may need extra support over the weekend. This is our third year participating, and every year it becomes even more meaningful.

More than 300,000 children in Minnesota experience food insecurity. Every Meal is working to change that by filling the food gaps children face when they are away from school. Through their Weekend Meal Program, nutritious and kid-friendly food is placed directly into students’ backpacks so they can return to school on Mondays ready to learn, grow, and succeed.

From volunteering and educational events to community partnerships and outreach, our employees also proudly supported:

Memorial Day Closure Notice
In observance of Memorial Day, all Minnco Credit Union locations will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25 as we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
While our branches will be closed, members can continue to access their accounts anytime through online banking, our mobile app, and ATMs.

During National Law Enforcement Week (National Police Week), we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the men and women who serve and protect our communities every day.

Our Cambridge Branch stopped by the Cambridge Police Department with a gift basket full of snacks for the officers and staff to enjoy as a small token of appreciation for all they do.
