Most bookkeepers hand you reports. I built Giesler-Tran Bookkeeping to solve the exact problems these industries struggle with every year—overwhelmed front offices, missed deductions, inconsistent financials, billing confusion, unpredictable cash flow, and the constant stress of not knowing whether your books could withstand an audit. My goal is simple: deliver audit-ready financials that protect your practice or service business from risk. No fluff. No guessing. No last-minute scrambling when your CPA asks for documents you don’t have. With my Audit-Ready Clarity System, you get:

✅ Clean, accurate books built the right way from day one

✅ Strategic tax guidance designed to reduce your liability

✅ Senior-level tax oversight (including full tax filing if needed)

✅ Fast, precise cleanup of months or years of errors

✅ Monthly bookkeeping you can finally depend on

✅ Transparent, flat-rate pricing—no surprises

✅ Direct, clear communication so you’re never left in the dark

I support practices and service businesses across the U.S.—chiropractors, dentists, therapists, contractors, consultants, trades, home services, and any business that’s tired of financial confusion slowing them down. If you’re already worried your books aren’t where they should be, you’re probably right. And if the IRS or your board asked for documentation tomorrow… you know exactly what that anxiety feels like. The good news? You don’t have to operate under that stress. I clean up the chaos, fix what’s broken, and give you books that are accurate, compliant, and ready for anything. www.GieslerTranBookkeeping.com —Your Financial Accuracy Partner

OLD BOOKKEEPING PROBLEMS FOLLOW YOU FORWARD.

January does not erase December’s unresolved balances.

Changing bookkeepers does not explain an old transaction.

Opening a fresh spreadsheet does not correct the records underneath it.

Unresolved bookkeeping issues can carry into future reports, tax preparation, and business decisions until someone investigates them.

That is why GTB built cleanup and reconstruction capabilities into the foundation.

We examine supporting records, identify discrepancies, and work through the corrections needed to establish a stronger starting point.

Then our Audit-Ready Financial Control System provides the ongoing structure: designated responsibility, defined reviews, documentation, and reporting.

Moving forward starts with knowing what you are carrying forward.

Schedule a Complimentary Financial Health Evaluation to identify areas that may need attention.

A BALANCE WITHOUT BACKUP IS A QUESTION.

Your financial report shows a number.

What supports it?

A loan statement?
A reconciled bank account?
An invoice?
A documented calculation?

When a significant balance cannot be traced to supporting records, you have a question that deserves an answer before you rely on it.

That matters when you are applying for financing, preparing for taxes, or deciding how much your business can afford to spend.

Before we built the sales pitch, GTB built documentation and audit-trail standards into the system.

Our Audit-Ready Financial Control System connects the work in your books to the records behind it, with defined reviews and follow-up on unresolved items.

You should be able to ask, “Where did this number come from?” and receive a clear explanation.

Start with a Complimentary Financial Health Evaluation.

Profit on paper does not mean the underlying records are ready for scrutiny.

This redacted two-year review showed $258,286 in gross business income, $118,947 in claimed deductions, and $139,339 in reported net profit. The concern was not the arithmetic. It was whether the deductions, classifications, business-use percentages, and supporting records could withstand review.

GTB's Free Financial Health Evaluation is designed to find the gaps before they become more expensive.

This week, put one clearing balance to the test.

What transactions make it up? How old are they? Which payments or deposits explain them?

A supported balance should have a trail you can follow.

If the explanation stops at "That is what QuickBooks shows," request the detail.

GTB can begin with an initial review of the available reports and identify balances that deserve closer investigation.

You do not need to guess what might be wrong. Start with what the records can explain.

A balance shown on a tax return does not confirm that it was paid.

This redacted evaluation identified $17,868 due federally and $5,667 due to Oregon for 2023, a combined self-reported balance of $23,535. The available records did not establish whether those balances had been paid.

If a balance remains unpaid, penalties and interest may continue to grow while the owner assumes the matter is finished.

Your customer paid. The processor took its fee. A net deposit reached the bank.

Can your books connect all three?

The trail should explain the customer payment, fees, refunds or chargebacks when applicable, and the amount deposited.

If that connection is unclear, you can spend hours untangling activity that should have been documented as it happened.

Pick one deposit. Follow it backward.

Can your team show what made it up?

BOOKS: PROVE IT.

A deposit total is useful. The explanation behind it is what lets you check the records.

A small inconsistency can point to a separate compliance problem.

The reviewed return claimed $1,525 of contract labor while answering “No” to the question asking whether payments requiring Forms 1099 were made.

That answer may have been correct, but the retained records did not establish the contractor's classification or payment method. If reporting was required and omitted, separate information-return penalties could apply.

THE RECEIPTS | POST 08

$23,331.83 sat in Undeposited Funds in the same preliminary review featured in Post 03.

The summary reports did not establish what made up the balance.

It could include recent receipts awaiting deposit, payment-platform clearing activity, duplicates, or older uncleared items. The supporting detail was needed to determine which explanation applied.

GTB called for a trace from individual customer payments through merchant batches and deposits to bank activity.

An account name cannot explain a balance. The transaction trail can.

Broad expense categories can hide duplication, personal spending, misclassification, or costs that should have been treated as assets.

In this redacted evaluation, supplies increased from $6,420 to $17,141. The return also included $4,534 of repairs, $5,153 of de minimis equipment, $2,999 of computer equipment, and telephone expenses that rose from $2,522 to $4,139.

The totals may be recorded. The real question is whether they are accurate and supportable.

Your bank feed is connected. Transactions appear in QuickBooks.

Who reviewed them?

Downloading activity, matching transactions, and reconciling an account are different steps.

A connected feed gives you information. Someone still needs to review how that activity was recorded and compare the books with the account statement.

Ask one practical question: "Through what date is this account reconciled, and where is the report?"

That answer tells you more than "The bank is connected."

BOOKS: PROVE IT.

Connection is the beginning of the process.
