Come and enjoy the 175th Celebration in Calmar on Saturday, July 19th! Something for all to enjoy!

8 a.m. – Registration for 5K – Train Depot by Kwik Star (sponsored by Calmar/Springfield Luther League Christians in Action);
8:30 a.m. – 5K run/walk – Starting at Train Depot;
9 a.m. – Pickleball court dedication – New pickleball courts at 605 W. Clay Street;
9 a.m. to noon – Pickleball tournament;
9 a.m Pancake breakfast sponsored by Fidelity Bank & Trust at the tent (106 S. Washington Street).
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Car/tractor show – West Clark Street;
11 a.m. to noon - Bingo – Tent (106 S. Washington - Sponsored by Calmar Lutheran Church);
12:30 p.m. – Registration for bags tournament – Klimesh Lot - 303 W. Main St. (Sponsored by South Winneshiek Rec. Department);
1 to 4 p.m. – Bags tournament – Klimesh Lot;
1 to 5 p.m. – Beer & Wine Tasting/Entertainment – Horseshoe parking lot;
1:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Toe Tappers – Tent (106 S. Washington);
1:30 to 2:30 p.m. – Kids’ games/balloon artist/face painting – On the green;
2:30 p.m. – Free watermelon – alley by the tent;
2:30 p.m. – Pedal pull registration – S. Washington Street near library;
3 p.m. – Kids’ pedal pull – S. Washington Street near library;
Throughout the day, several food and drink stands will be open, including a sandwich stand, an ice cream and cotton candy stand (free courtesy of Northeast Iowa Community College), Bobo drinks (St. Aloysius Rosary Society), and refreshments at the Senior Center. Calmar restaurants will also be running food and drink specials throughout the day.

10:30 to 11:15 a.m. – The Pioneering Sandbaggers from Norway: First Settlers and Founders of Calmar Lutheran Church (includes slideshow) –presented by Karla Wesselman Brown @ Calmar Lutheran Church.
