What an incredible three days at the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce 90th Annual Meeting & Business Summit!

A special thank-you to Steve Roberts and Kathy Thomas and their entire team for bringing together such an impressive group of business, government, and community leaders. The networking, speakers, and discussions were outstanding, and we came away with new connections, fresh ideas, and plenty of excitement for what’s ahead.

We also want to thank The Greenbrier Resort, all the sponsors, speakers, and attendees who made this event such a success.

The WV Great Barrel Co. team is looking forward to building on these relationships as we continue improving our operations and growing both domestically and internationally.

🚨WE’RE JOINING Bourbon on the Banks! 🥃

After the incredible response to the debut of our Mobile Infrared Toasting Exhibit at Brewzle Fest 2026, we knew we had to keep the IR Toaster and the barrels rolling! (pun intended)

WV Great Barrel Company is honored to be joining an incredible lineup of distilleries, brands, makers, and merchants at Bourbon on the Banks on October 3 in Frankfort.

We’re bringing the Mobile Exhibit IR Toaster with us and firing it up for the BOTB crowd—giving wh***ey fans/distilleries an up-close look at the technology, precision, and innovation behind infrared barrel toasting.

Stop by our booth, check out the IRT, talk barrels and maturation, and celebrate some damn good Kentucky bourbon whiskies with us!

🔥🪵 CHAR & TOAST TUESDAY | TAKING INFRARED TOASTING ON THE ROAD

At Brewzle Fest 2026, West Virginia Great Barrel Company debuted something that’s never done before — the first-ever portable exhibit of our infrared barrel toasting technology for festivals and events.

Why does IR toasting matter?

Traditional fire toasting relies heavily on flame, airflow, distance, and operator control. Infrared allows us to apply thermal energy to the wood with greater precision, control, consistency, and repeatability.

That matters because toast isn’t just about making wood hot — it’s about intentionally transforming the chemistry of the wood.

🔥 Controlled thermal pe*******on into the stave
🪵 Targeted development of lignin, hemicellulose & wood sugars
🥃 Greater ability to influence vanilla, caramel, toasted sugar, spice and oak characteristics
🎯 More consistent toast profiles from barrel to barrel
