How does Revenue Protection work when the harvest price goes up? You simply get to use the higher price for any bushel shortfall. Your trigger will NOT go up if the harvest price is higher than the projected price. Your guaranteed bushels stay the same.

MCO… another crop insurance acronym?
It stands for Margin Coverage Option.
It’s similar to ECO (Enhanced Coverage Option) giving county coverage but the discovery period to establish the Projected Price is being set now!

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced a 60-day extension and interest deferral on crop insurance premium and interest fees with billing dates between July 1 and September 30, 2026.

For example, normally for any spring crops in our area the premium would need to be paid no later than September 30th before interest would attach....this has now been extended to November 30th.

July 15th is the deadline to report your acres both at FSA and with your crop insurance agent.

Farmers: Have you certified your acres at FSA yet? If so, come and see us to report your acres.

We need copies of your FSA 578's and FSA maps. We will also need copies of any applicable contracts. If you have organic acres, we will need a copy of your organic plan and certification.
