It is official!

As of April 1, 2026, the legal merger between Geauga Credit Union and 7 17 Credit Union is officially complete.

For our members, nothing changes today — your accounts, services, and branch hours remain the same. While you will see changes in name to 7 17, you can continue banking just as you always have. We’ll share updates later this year as we prepare for the operational merger.

We are joining 7 17 Credit Union next week! As we shared previously, Geauga Credit Union will merge with 7 17 Credit Union on April 1, 2026.

What does this mean for you right now? Nothing is changing today. You can continue to use your accounts, debit cards, online banking, and visit our branches just as you always have.

This partnership allows us to join with another member-and-community focused credit union that shares our values while giving our members access to additional financial products, services, and resources in the future.

We’ll continue sharing updates to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

In the meantime, we encourage you to follow 7 17 Credit Union on Facebook and their other social media channels to stay informed and learn more about the credit union that will soon be welcoming our members.

Geauga Credit Union's BURTON BRANCH will be opening on a delay Monday due to weather conditions. We will be opening at 11:00 am.

MIDDLEFIELD BRANCH will be closed due to heating issues. We will let you know as soon as we can open again. Thank you for understanding.
