There’s just something special about a small-town fair.

The familiar faces, conversations with people you’ve just met, kids running from one attraction to the next, and that genuine feeling that everyone is part of the same community. Having Liam there with me made the Le Sueur County Fair even more meaningful.

It also reminded me that, when financial planning is done right, it should feel a little like a small town. Personal. Connected. Built on trust. A place where people know your story, remember what matters to you, and genuinely care about where you’re headed.

Not just numbers, accounts, and paperwork—but relationships, families, and a community of people working toward the lives they want.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a story, or simply said hello. I’ll always have a soft spot for small-town fairs and the sense of community they bring.

There’s just something special about small-town baseball.

I grew up playing the game, so being out at a town team ballpark always brings back great memories. The slower pace, familiar faces, kids running around, and neighbors catching up in the stands—it’s hard to beat.

Tonight, I had the opportunity to partner with Southern Valley Alliance to help provide hot dogs for the first 100 fans at the Chaska Cubs game. It’s a small way to give back while supporting an organization that’s making a real difference in our community.

Grateful to spend the evening supporting a great cause, enjoying a beautiful Minnesota summer night, and cheering on some hometown baseball. ⚾

Community is one of the best parts of what I get to do.

Over the past couple of weeks, I had the opportunity to be at Apple Valley Freedom Days and Burnsville’s Party in the Plaza, meeting so many great people and being part of two fantastic community events. Conversations like these are a great reminder that financial planning is really about people, families, and the communities we call home.

One of my favorite moments was having Liam stop by to visit. Having family there to support me made the day even more meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. If we’ve met at one of these events—or if you’re simply looking for someone to help you think through your financial goals—I’d be happy to connect. Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Come visit me tonight at Apple Valley Freedom Days!

I’ll be at Johnny Cake Ridge Park East in Apple Valley from 5–9 p.m. as part of Family Fun Night and the vendor fair.

There will be tons for families to enjoy — carnival rides, inflatables, a petting zoo, pony rides, food trucks, face painting, kids activities, police and fire vehicles, a canine demonstration, and more.

Stop by, say hi, and enjoy a fun night with the family!

One earnings report I’ll be watching closely today: Micron.

Not because one company’s results should drive anyone’s financial plan, but because Micron may give the market a clearer look into one of the biggest themes driving stocks right now: the AI infrastructure buildout.

Micron reports after the close today, and investors will likely be listening for clues on a few key questions:

Are AI-related memory demand and high-bandwidth memory demand still accelerating?

Are supply bottlenecks improving, worsening, or staying tight?

Does Micron still have pricing power, and how long could that last?

What does management’s outlook suggest about continued data center and hyperscaler spending?

That last point may be the most important. Micron is not just a “Micron story” right now. Memory chips are a key input in the broader AI buildout, so their earnings call could offer signs about whether demand from the largest technology companies remains strong, whether capacity is keeping up, and whether the market’s expectations around AI spending are realistic.

In other words, investors may look at this report as more than a company update. It could be a check-in on the health of the AI trade itself.

As always, one earnings report does not define a long-term investment strategy. But it can give us useful information about where expectations are, where pressure points may be forming, and how the market is thinking about future growth.

Worth watching.

Pelosi’s latest disclosed trades are making the rounds again — this time with reported purchases of Uber and Intel.

Love her or hate her, congressional trading disclosures always create conversation because they give the public a small window into what some high-profile investors are doing.

No takeaways, no recommendations — just an interesting reminder that transparency matters, and disclosures can be a useful educational tool for understanding market behavior.
