Mama mia, here we go again! The spring showers are officially here and with those showers, not only do we have flowers to look forward to, it's also bringing the downpours, straight-line winds, hail, and potential for tornadoes. I, Cathy, accepted Tim's challenge to teach something at our monthly meeting and, of course, took the opportunity to go all out with an escape room theme! The team worked through real-life health scenarios, matched coverages, reviewed preparations, and followed clues to unlock their way out of the office (and end the meeting 😄).
They were annoyingly good at it - so I guess that means I'll have to step it up next time!

So excited to share my morning at Burlington's Fareway where we joined Iowa Farm Bureau for their 4th annual Supermarket Sweep! I teamed up with some familiar faces to grab as many groceries in 5 minutes for our local food banks. Thanks Kristel Lunsman and Scott Mason! We're already working on our strategies for next year!

In light of the incoming hazardous weather predicted to blanket our area with dangerous amounts of snow and ice, we have made what we believe is the responsible decision to not open our office Monday until noon, so as to allow our team to commute unharmed and our respected state, county, and local crews to safely clear the roads for all to travel.

It’s very important to me to support the communities that support us, and I’m always humbled when the Greater Burlington Partnership asks me to speak to our local students. We always have fun, insightful conversations that remind me our youth are going to do great things with their lives, and I’m excited to see their journey!
