2 X 10 Year Challenge
This February marks 20 years in the mortgage business. In the spirit of the 10 year challenge I thought it appropriate to do a side by side.
Me 20 years ago: Full head of hair, engaged to be married, newly in the business and interest rates in the double digits.
Me now: No hair, married, three kids, 20 years in the business and near historically low interest rates.
What hasn’t changed is my passion to help people. This business has enabled me to connect with all types of people and assist them through all types of transactions throughout life. Homeownership still remains to be the American dream and it is my pleasure to help customers through the financing process whether it is for the purchase of their first home, vacation home, move up home or retirement home. I think of my customers as customers for life. It is always nice to hear a familiar voice when past customers call to ask for assistance with a refinance to pay off debt, to put their kids through college, for home renovations etc etc. Within the past 20 years I have helped thousands of customers and it has been my pleasure to do so year after year.
It’s hard to think 20 years have passed. Bob Seger says it best
“Twenty years now
Where’d they go?
Twenty years
I don’t know
Sit and I wonder sometimes
Where they’ve gone”
