As we reach the midpoint of the Annual Open Enrollment Period, we want to alert you to an important issue.

Some insurance companies/affiliates have been calling clients directly to encourage switching plans. These calls often promote Medicare Advantage options as “upgrades” to your current coverage. What they may not tell you is that switching from a standalone Prescription Drug Plan and Medigap Supplement to a Medicare Advantage plan can cause you to lose your Medigap coverage permanently.

These agents may present MedAdvantage plans as an upgrade, while omitting critical details—such as limited provider networks. You may encounter high-pressure tactics and vague assurances that fail to disclose the full implications of switching plans.

We urge you to remain cautious and informed.
