What happens to your investments between meetings? 👀

Quite a bit, actually.

Every quarter, our team reviews the investments we use across client portfolios. Looking at performance, risk, expenses, strategy, and whether each investment is still doing the job we selected it to do.

We also look at the bigger picture, from interest rates and inflation to market conditions, to determine whether any portfolio changes are warranted.

Sometimes that means making a change. Sometimes it means staying the course. Either way, there’s a thoughtful process happening behind the scenes.

Our latest blog gives you a peek into that process and the work happening between your meetings with us.

Year-end planning in December? We’d rather start a little earlier.

October and November are a great time to look at what changed during the year and what still needs attention before December 31st.

Retirement contributions, Roth conversions, charitable giving, investment gains and losses, RMDs, tax planning, beneficiaries… there can be quite a bit to review depending on your financial situation.

And before you meet with your financial advisor, gather what you can: updated income information, recent statements, tax information and, most importantly, anything that changed this year.

A little preparation now can make those year-end conversations much more productive.

Save this checklist for your next financial planning meeting. 📌

October is ! 📊

We may be a little biased, but we think financial planning deserves its own month.

A good financial plan changes right along with you. New job, new home, growing family, retirement getting closer, travel plans, big purchases… there’s always something to plan for.

Some months we’re talking taxes. Other months it’s retirement, investments, estate planning, insurance, or figuring out how much you can comfortably spend.

It’s all part of keeping your finances organized and making sure your money is working toward what matters to you. 💚

Owning a business means wearing a lot of hats and your personal financial plan can easily get pushed to the bottom of the list.

But when you’re a business owner, your business and personal finances are often closely connected. Retirement savings, tax planning, insurance, cash flow, and eventually figuring out what comes next for the business are all pieces of the bigger picture.

Whether you’re building, growing, or starting to think about your next chapter, having a plan for both sides can make a big difference.

There’s something pretty exciting about realizing retirement may be closer than you thought.

For Jennifer, years of planning have turned “someday” into a goal that feels much more within reach. We’re grateful to have been part of the journey since 2014 and to see that long-term planning create more options for what comes next. ✨
