What happens when nature strikes? 🌬️
This past weekend on Saturday, a powerful storm in Burlingame toppled this massive tree onto California Drive, blocking traffic and leaving residents with lots of questions. Who’s responsible for removal? What does insurance cover?

This real-life scenario is a great reminder of why understanding your homeowners insurance is so important. Let’s turn this into a quick insurance learning moment:

Here are some questions for you to think about:
1️⃣ If this tree fell from your property onto the street, who is responsible for removing it?
2️⃣ What if the tree damaged your home, fence, or car—would your insurance cover the repairs?
3️⃣ Since the tree was healthy and fell due to high winds (an “act of God”), does anyone bear liability?
4️⃣ What about tree removal costs? Does homeowners insurance help with that?
