1991–2026 | Celebrating 35 Years of The King Agency

Thirty-five years ago, Bruce King opened the doors of his Farmers Insurance agency in Burleson, Texas, with a simple belief: insurance should be about more than policies and premiums. It should be about people, relationships, and being there when life happens.

What began in 1991 became something much greater than a business. It became a family legacy, built on hard work, integrity, compassion, and a genuine love for this community.

Bruce believed in taking care of people. He knew his customers by name, treated them like neighbors, and understood that behind every policy was a family, a home, a livelihood, and a story worth protecting.

One of his favorite sayings was:

“Insurance is for the things that ruin your life, not ruin your day.”

Those words still represent the heart of our agency today.

Although Bruce is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in everything we do. ❤️

His daughter, Sara King, spent 20 years working alongside her dad before taking the reins, carrying forward the values he instilled and the relationships he worked so hard to build.

Through the years, our agency has grown, faces have changed, and generations of families have walked through our doors. But one thing has never changed: our commitment to treating people like family.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate 35 years of serving Burleson and the surrounding communities. We are grateful for every customer who has trusted us, every employee who has been part of our journey, and every friendship formed along the way.

Most of all, today we honor the man who started it all.

Bruce, we hope we’re making you proud. Your legacy is still here, your values still guide us, and the agency you built continues to make a difference. ❤️

Today we’re celebrating Sara’s 9th anniversary as the owner of The King Agency but the King family’s history of taking care of our community goes back much further. ❤️

That 2019 article said it perfectly: “We pride ourselves on the personality part of being there to help people.” Years later, that’s still exactly who we are.

Now, considering we JUST sent Seth out into Burleson for BTX Food Festival research, the timing around here is getting a little suspicious…

While the boss is away… Seth will apparently play. 😂

Today he abandoned his post at the office for a very important emergency: securing a Campfire Dog from Gina’s Pizza. 🌭

Unfortunately for Seth, We have photographic evidence. 📸😂

In his defense, he DID bring food back to share with the office, so we’ve agreed to reduce the charges.

Now we just have to hope this post doesn’t make it back to the boss. 🤫

And if Seth’s face doesn’t convince you… the Campfire Dog should. 😂🌭

One of our favorite things about Burleson is getting to support the people and places that make our community feel like home. 💗

Kimberly stopped by Villa Dianna right here in Burleson, and of course we had to grab a picture!

Local restaurants are part of what gives our town its personality. They are where families celebrate birthdays, friends catch up over dinner, and familiar faces become part of our everyday lives.
