Let’s Talk Insurance Terms 🤔

One thing I notice people mix up quite often is their deductible and maximum out-of-pocket.

They’re both important numbers to understand when looking at your health coverage, but they mean two very different things.

💰 Deductible: The amount you generally pay for covered services before your plan begins paying its share for services subject to the deductible.

🛑 Maximum out-of-pocket: The most you pay during the plan year for covered, in-network services before your plan generally pays 100% of covered services for the remainder of the year.

Understanding the difference can make it a little easier to understand your health coverage.

And remember — costs and rules can vary by plan.
